After a stunning premiere at the Virginia Arts Festival last spring, Rappahannock County, a new music theatre work by acclaimed composer Ricky Ian Gordon and librettist Mark Campbell, commissioned to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the start of the American Civil War, will be heard in two additional cities this fall. Inspired by personal accounts of those who experienced the Civil War first-hand, Rappahannock County will be performed at the Modlin Center in Richmond, Virginia, September 9-16, and at Texas Performing Arts in Austin from September 18-25.
